Roller Girl

Perhaps not as sexy as Rollergirl from Boogie Nights, but this ensemble includes items that i actually owned in real life!!!
I did have a pair of rainbow braces which i wore with a blue t-shirt and a string vest (there are some 80's fashions that should not be resurrected).
My pride and joy however was a pair of suede roller boots (as pictured). They had yellow laces, trims, wheels and stoppers and i loved them dearly. We used to go to a roller-disco at our local sports centre on a Saturday afternoon, which mainly involved skating round in circles to Top40 hits and trying to get the attention of various boys.
This is clearly a functional cotton-based outfit, brown stretch t-shirt with green pedal pushers so there's nothing to obstruct the aerodynamics.

It's a mystery.

Interested in subcultures from an early age! The hair is clearly influenced by Toyah, probably from her 'It's a mystery' look.

A fishnet body suit with turquoise leather waistcoat, shorts and boots. On the outside i was an eleven year old school girl, on the inside i was a cyber-punk/goth!

The funniest thing about this design is that it's drawn on the back of the back of the Parish bulletin!!!

26th November 1980 at St. Anthony's after 7.30 Mass.
The Lent Festival was also recalled:jointly with Leeds East at The Little Sisters on Sunday 2nd March starting with Benediction at 2.45.

See, in those days there were no A4 sheets of printer paper around, artists had to just get it down on whatever paper was to hand.
